BOBMANIA: #1, Dyl-Time Theme Radio Hour

There’s just no limit to…

…the zeal and creativity of Dylan fans.

I’ve been enjoying a series of lovely monthly podcasts by Mel Prussack in New Jersey, in which he gently parodies Theme Time Radio Hour.

But, instead of playing oldey timey musical influences like Uncle Bob, Mel plays a rich selection of little-heard Zim recordings, punctuating them with the musings of a knowledgeable Dylan superfan.

Well worth a listen!

Here’s how Mel introduced himself:

“If you are truly interested in celebrating the work of Bob Dylan you should listen to "Dyl-Time Theme Radio Hour". It has been going on for 8 months now and it truly celebrates Bob's work. Why not put a link to the show on your wonderful site?

“To hear an interview I did on "The Dylan Shrine" you can google my name (mel Prussack) and check out the interview on NPR (national public radio). There is also a chapter on my museum in the book by Tracy Johnson "Encounters With Bob Dylan".”

Mel Prussack is also curator of a private museum, The Dylan Shrine!

Rave on, Mel! Your enthusiasm brought extra sunshine into my life!
